Two Business Owners Unharmed After Store Ceiling Collapsed in the Bronx
Bronx, NY – Two business owners were unharmed after the entire ceiling of their ‘mom-and-pop store’ collapsed from a one-storey commercial building (built more than 60 years ago) at 267 West 231st Street in the Bronx at around 12:30 p.m. on November 2. Hundreds of pounds of concrete mesh ceiling crashed down, destroying stock and nearly killing the couple in the process. Rescuers pulled out the debris to let them exit from being trapped inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
